Will my judo gi become softer if I wash it? (I just bought it – unwashed)?
I’m wondering if maybe the texture will become softer. Right now it is kind of scratchy but I haven’t washed it yet to shrink it.
It is a JK brand gi of Kiyota Co., Baltimore
yes, as martial arts uniforms get used/washed/broken in they get soft. they will maintain the same weight, but it will get softer and less stiff. if that’s your goal when you put it in the dryer put in a tennis ball.
