Why do most people think the samurais were only individual fighters who lacked tactics and formations?
I notcied most people think the samurais were only individuals were did not fight like an army and did not utilise tactics in formations.Although this was true in the early middle agws,by the Tokugawan Era samurais used formations,tactics,and strategies as complex and sophisticated as those of Romans and Greeks!

Why do most people think samurais were only skilled in one on one fighting well in fact they fought like an organized army by the Tokugawan era?
Because people base what they know about the Samurai on movies and don’t study how the samurai were really like and thus are completely ignorant about he samurai.
